    Elina Pirinen

    Elina Pirinen is a choreographer, dancer, singer-songwriter, musician, artistic director and pedagogue currently living in Helsinki. She studied dance and choreography at the Theatre Academy in Helsinki, graduating with a Master's degree in dance with special studies in contemporary theater in 2008. She has a broad background in classical and pop music with piano, voice and violin.

    In her stage work she often uses important pieces of classical music as a framework for different body qualities. She often collaborates with Finniah organizations, including Zodiak - Centre for New Dance, Kiasma Theatre and Performance Art Center.

    With her piece "Personal Symphonic Moment" she has gained international recognition. The piece was selected by the Aerowaves distribution network.

    In 2019, she creates the piece "Sydämen kauneus" (The Beauty of the Heart) for the graduation show of the Bachelor in Contemporary Dance Class C.
