    Laurent Berger

    Director, playwright and teacher-researcher Laurent Berger is currently an HDR lecturer at the Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier III, and a visiting lecturer and associate researcher at La Manufacture - Haute Ecole des Arts de la Scène in Lausanne.
    His scientific research focuses on the theory and practice of staging, acting and performance, and Shakespearean theater. In 2020 and 2021 he directed the international research project "Être et jouer" at La Manufacture, supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation, and set up the hTh Lab creative research laboratory at the Centre Dramatique National de Montpellier. In 2022, he defended a habilitation to direct research on acting and the performer.
    As a director, his latest creations include Tartufo, at Bogotá's Teatro Jorge Eliecer Gaitan, 3 8 S M (Shakespeare Material) at Buenos-Aires' Théâtre National Cervantes and D. Quixote at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in collaboration with Andrés Marín.
