    Mélina De Lamarlière

Mélina de Lamarlière has been combining dance and academic studies since she was very young. After a Sport-study training in dance with the Chrysalide company in Grenoble, she took off at the age of 18 to join the Laban School in London, where she obtained the Diploma in Dance Studies. She then continued her training in Munich, for three years as a dancer-interpreter at the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance.

In parallel to her training, Mélina develops her practice as a choreographer and creates six 20-minute pieces. In 2015, she becomes the assistant choreographer of Johannes Härtl.

Upon her return to Geneva in 2017, Mélina creates the company Speak in Silence, which aims to raise awareness on strong social issues that remain taboo.

Mélina likes to understand the mechanism of the body and its connections, for a healthy and sustainable physical practice. To pursue this goal, she trains at the renowned Swissbody school and becomes a certified Pilates teacher on matwork and cadillac machine and reformer.

Mélina regularly teaches at l'Impasse, the studio of the Compagnie Greffe in Geneva.
