    Bembika

Bembika has been dancing for over 20 years. Swiss and native of Matadi in the Democratic Republic of Congo, he was born and raised in Geneva.

He has established himself as one of the most important Swiss representatives of urban dance abroad. Like many practitioners, Bembika is self-taught. In the early 2000s, his passion for the history and culture of urban dance led him to study with renowned dancers and choreographers in New York, including : Brian Green (Dance Award Winner) and Terry Wright in House Dance, Skeeter Rabbit, Poppin Taco, Buddah Stretch (choreographer of Michael Jackson, Will Smith, Mariah Carey) and Marvellous (choreographer of Wayne Wonder, Beenie Man Usher) in dancehall at the prestigious school "Broadway Dance Center".

He is the first Swiss dancer to participate five times in the "Juste Debout" (world championship of urban dance in Bercy/Accord Arena) in House Dance (a dance style of which he is one of the pioneers in Switzerland) and to have won numerous competitions in Europe.

Bembika has worked as a choreographer for many Swiss and international artists, including Bob Sinclar, Daynite, Wayne Beckford, Chicas Melinas, Shana P or Disiz la Peste, and in the theater in the Revue Genevoise in 2013. He is also a member of the jury of various competitions in Europe, Canada, Japan and the United States.

Bembika is also the president of the association Y.U.M.E (dream in Japanese) with which he created the first international urban dance competition in Switzerland, which includes five categories of "Top Dance" and brings together each year dancers from all over Europe, the United States and Asia.
