Nicole Berndt-Caccivio

Nicole Berndt-Caccivio was born in Switzerland in 1963. She studied classical and modern dance in Europe and at Cunningham Studios in NYC. As a dancer she worked mainly with Tanzfabrik Berlin as well as ch-tanztheater Zurich. With her own company Ljada she won the first prize at the festival of the Suzanne Dellal Center Tel Aviv/Israel in 1992 together with the company Ricochet. She is now a guest lecturer for contemporary dance at MUK Vienna, Tanzabteilung High School Frankfurt a.M., Impulstanz Vienna , Etage Berlin and others. Nica has been part of artistic, solo and performance collaborations with Jürg Lietha, Davide Bloom, Kollektiv F, Nicolas Caccivio, Annelie André, Qadira Oechsle-Ali, and since 2019 with SPHERE Kollektiv. Since 2009, she has been the artistic director of www.agecompany.at. She initiates the "Golden Age Workshops", in which people of advanced age come into contact and exchange on a physical and artistic level. She is also a bodyworker in CranioSacral Therapy /Osteopathy. Her work as soloist with her new company (2020)“Caccivio en Compagnie” in Switzerland focuses on intergenerational exchange, collaboration with amateur dancers as well as dance students, and physical and choreographic expertise with her own social visions.
