    Hippolyte Broud

Hippolyte Broud is an artist, vocal coach, teacher and researcher. His work explores the ways in which the voice contributes to the development of acting, and how vocal practices are transmitted, transformed and reinvented within contemporary theatre-making. As a vocal coach, he has worked on productions by Alexander Zeldin (Prendre soin, 2025) and Kenza Berrada (Îles flottantes and Paradis Plage, 2026), among others. At La Manufacture-HEARTS, within the Bachelor in Theatre programme, he leads a workshop dedicated to prosody. He also teaches spoken voice at the Conservatoire national supérieur d’art dramatique (CNSAD) for the 2026–2027 season, and works at the Cours Cochet-Delavène in Paris and the École de théâtre du Rhône in Geneva. Trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, he is currently pursuing a PhD in practice-based research in Voice Studies at the University of Exeter. His research focuses on the relationships between voice, transmission and the history of theatrical practices. He regularly presents his work at international conferences in Voice Studies and theatre studies.
