Giulia Sorenza Crescenzi
Born in Lausanne, Giulia Sorenza Crescenzi discovered theater at an early age at TEC with Sanshiro Frankhauser. After graduating from Les Teintureries in 2020, she has been performing with Dorian Rossel & Delphine Lanza, Bartek Sozanski, Alain Borek, and in the children's show Grimaces by Clara Delorme & Baptiste Cazaux.
Fascinated by collaborative creation, her personal work has developed within collectives such as La Nef and L'alg, which explore in-situ creation, including Pièce sans titre pour rivière sans lit (Quarts d'heure de Sévelin 2023) La Nef Chapitre premier (forêt de Crissier, 2023) – as well as Gasoline Motel, whose first creation, performed at Weekend Prolongé in Fribourg and at the Maison St-Gervais, questions social norms, quantum physics, and the notion of being human on Earth.
At the same time, she leads theater, dance, and improvisation workshops for various audiences and, since 2022, has been co-writing the Théâtre de Vidy's Kids summer stage shows with Stéphanie Kohler. Trained at the Accademia Dimitri's CAS Performing Arts in Conflict Zone in 2021, she collaborates with Anina Jendreyko on intercultural projects in Kurdistan and Ethiopia. She is also part of the research collective La Collective Tools Project, which works at La Manufacture on group dynamics and collective collaboration.
