A week of somatic explorations in the forest
As part of the research project Les 4 jardins, Gregory Stauffer and his team, together with Malvaux – Centre for Ecosomatic Explorations – are offering a summer school in the forest of Biel for the third consecutive year.
From 3 to 7 August 2026, an ephemeral community will gather each day to walk and experiment with somatic practices. Guided by practitioners and researchers, participants will be invited to explore their ways of thinking, sensing, and acting with the living world.
Each day, the practices will be transdisciplinary, bringing together movement, voice, and drawing, in order to carry questions and reveries into the forest and, for one week, seek to come closer to it.
The school is co-organised by choreographer Eve Chariatte, ecological humanities researcher Joanne Clavel, and vocal coach Noemie Wyss. Séverine Jeanneret and Sydney will also join the team to offer, once again this year, a parallel programme welcoming children from the age of six, allowing them to experience their own week of exploration in the forest.
Registration is open until 1 July 2026. Information: info@malvaux.net.
